Get to Know Us

The Finger Lakes Ski Club was established over 50 years ago. A group of skiers from the Auburn, New York area began to meet in the mid-1970s in an effort to organize ski trips and get discounted skiing. The club has evolved into a social year-round group not limited to just downhill skiing. Club activities also include biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, nature walks, the “famous” annual road rally, winery tours, hiking and much more. All are welcome to join the FLSC!

Welcome to 2025!

As we eagerly look forward to the upcoming winter season. I am grateful to all of you for joining or renewing your membership.

Along with the customary bigger trips, we are planning the usual one day XC skiing and snowshoeing outings when conditions allow. Be aware of last minute email notices since the weather is so unpredictable.

What you can rely on, is our ongoing tradition of an Annual Banquet which will be held Saturday, April 26th at The Point, owned by the Springside Inn, in Auburn. It is always a fun gathering & good time to share the past 2024-25 experiences.

Later in January, we will form an elections committee to recruit new officers & board members. While I hope you stay warm & cozy this winter, consider getting out of your comfort zone to join our board (or maybe being on a board naturally helps you thrive!). We have a talented, experienced group that works together but needs replacements. Remember that learning experiences help keep us engaged and young.

Have a safe & Happy New Year!

~ Linda
